This project involves the fabrication and erection of over 1,300 tons of structural and miscellaneous steel for a major development within the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. The scope encompasses a comprehensive steel package—including both primary structural elements and secondary framing—requiring close coordination with multiple trades and ongoing site activities.

A significant portion of the work is focused on the roof-level penthouse structure, where limited access and complex system interfaces necessitate meticulous planning and execution. Another notable aspect is the installation of the east elevation convenience stairs and associated framing, which are both suspended and cantilevered, presenting distinct structural and logistical challenges.

Additional scope includes the erection of stair towers, brick support framing, elevator steel supports, and various miscellaneous steel elements throughout the building. While the components may appear conventional, the project’s demanding schedule, integration with MEP systems, and coordination with concrete and façade trades require a high degree of planning, communication, and adaptability from the entire project team.

The project remains on track, with ongoing coordination efforts ensuring that all milestones and installation sequences align with the broader construction schedule.
