Winstar Event Center
Thackerville, OK
The Lucas Oil Live Event Center is a state-of-the-art entertainment venue designed to host world-class events. Our team played a critical role in its construction, executing the structural steel and precast erection with precision and efficiency. The project involved erecting 2,500 tons of structural steel, plus 200 tons of joists and 90 tons of stairs, bringing the total erected steel tonnage to 2,790 tons. Additionally, PPB erected 168 precast tubs/risers, which formed the tiered seating structure for the venue.
A key challenge of this project was the installation of the 220-foot-long roof trusses, which required extensive planning and coordination to ensure safe and precise placement in such limited space. The sheer size and complexity of the trusses, combined with intricate steel connections, demanded expert execution to maintain structural integrity and meet project specifications. Separate from the roof structure, the erection of the precast tubs/risers was another critical component of this project. These precast elements were essential in forming the tiered seating, requiring precise placement and coordination with the surrounding steel framework to ensure structural stability and alignment with the overall design. Designed by HBG Design and engineered by Uzun + Case LLC, the event center’s construction presented significant engineering and logistical challenges. Our team’s ability to safely and efficiently complete both the steel and precast erection highlights our expertise in handling large-scale, high-complexity projects. This project stands as a testament to our commitment to excellence in structural construction, contributing to a premier venue built to accommodate large audiences and unforgettable live experiences. |
